Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Grid First proper race since hamstring injury a month ago. Minus 1 on the start line, mainly dry with a short drizzly burst.

I was aiming to come in about 1:08 to give my hamstring as easy a ride as possible, but I couldn't seem to slow myself down enough. Hamstring felt fine throughout, although I felt a bit out of shape. The 5K race the previous day wouldn't have really helped! I started to push in the last 2K, partly out of boredom and partly to see how my hamstring reacted - this went well, although I think it'll still be a few weeks before I can really push it.

The race is as visually appealing as a plane crash, but I found it to be a well organised, friendly no-nonsense race with good PB potential.

Hoppo PB - a bit disapointed as could have run faster, mis judged finish, but hey ho 2 out of 2 for PB's so far this year.

Lapsed Athlete Felt really good throughout, a little too good at 8k as I relaxed and maybe lost a few seconds, sprinted for the line and was on top of the world when I realised I had knocked over 3 mins off my pb.
