Agree with jda - Zwift says that the entire climb has an average of 3.2%

I'll set it to -3.2% then, that'll do for now. Thanks both.

Been a bit slow catching up with Fetch lately but I was able to point fetcheveryone to the Volcano KOM on Veloviewer: veloviewer.com Although the overall gradient is -3.2%, the bit for the Fetch Mile is at the top before the two flat sections, so the Fetch Mile goes from 132m to 60m in 1.6km = -4.5% |

Any zwift runners in here? I've treated myself to a treadmill and don't want to bore the 3:15 thread with techy queries! I've been wondering about whether Zwift will be the answer to the issue correlation of activity recording vs treadmill output? I've tried with Garmin's treadmill basic functionality a couple of times which is acceptable in that I can adjust back to treadmill distance at the end, but all the laps are then messed up in the data that they have read. And the data purist in me doesn't like that. My new device connects to Zwift, so I presume it transmits the speed it is running at to the Zwift servers as well as the start and stop etc, and perhaps the HR too if I pair my bluetooth HRM? So then presumably the output from Zwift will be a neat and tidy version of whatever data it has recorded - though it might be polluted with elevation data? |

I don't think zwift solves any of the inconsistencies between difference estimates of treadmill speed/distance and there's also a risk of double-uploads depending how you already manage that. My approach is just to use the method that's most convenient for uploading treadmill runs and accept that the numbers aren't going to be perfect. |

But presumably if the treadmill says it is going at 7min/mile then zwift will also record that speed, irrespective of any real world correlation? I am probably chasing a unicorn I realise that. Will give it a go tonight anyway and see what happens. |

Larks - the cleanest option is to take a measurement from the belt itself - the zwift runn uk.zwift.com works pretty well (assuming it's the same as my older NPE one!) You can then set it as a footpod in the watch.

Is the treadmill directly transmitting speed via Bluetooth? If so, maybe you’re right. Mine doesn’t.
