I never timed any of my very few visits, but i think I may have taken 15-20 minutes to fill a bag. (Last time was a bit quicker).
Up to maybe ninety minutes from arriving and joining the queue to finally leaving: is that a bit long?

My impression is that they've worked on decreasing the donation times: end-to-end was shown as 60 mins and I would've been out in about 30 mins without all the chat after about times (!)

Fizz :-)
New records today, both of them bad! Due to them being short-staffed, the process took two hours. And my actual donation time was 9:02,the slowest since I started asking a year or so ago.
One good thing, two weeks of iron tablets (and a cowful of red meat) brought my iron levels up from defect at 124 last time, to super-duper “as high as a man’s” 150 this time

No coffee though, as it was in a Church of Latter Day Saints and caffeine isn’t allowed.
And no TUC either

Good Iron Fizz. Sorry for bad experience / time though.
Dv, at Laurison Place (Scot Blood HQ) I can be in and out in under 30 mins. I'm a 5 min donor, plus 5-10 mins for sign in, 5-10 mins for the nurse person to do pin prick blood test, 5 -10 mins to wait for a bed, 5 mins for biscuit n juice. Could be as little as 20-25 mins, sometimes 45? Not much of my time to give to save a life blah, blah!
December planned donation for me. Might take my son and his gf as they have expressed an interest! G

Fizz, I take iron tablets for a week or two before donating - as a veggie mine can be borderline but I’ve only been rejected once in the last few years.
Good work G!

That's an impressive and sustained commitment of time and effort. Truly gold blooded.
