The sun is shining brightly and when I opened the back door at 6am there was a lovely early morning freshness to the air. As I took the dog outside one of our resident flocks of geese flew over on their way to the lake, calling to each other, and it reminded me how fortunate I am to live in 'pleasant pastures'.

Given that the dog is a bit deaf, and Mr was driving back on a dual carriageway from 15 mile away, I remain amazed at the ability that defies logic. How do they know?
