I'm now sat with a glass of wine, nicely sunburned! and watching the marathon in full as recorded - if I had been watching live I would have switched to red button to watch the racing rather than the waffle.

We saw from Fetchpoint a lot of charity entrants who were hitting around 5 hrs for halfway - way behind the "sweeper" and after the barriers were being taken down.

Think the BBC needs to look at its coverage maybe?

I know it took me 5:44 to get around - but 8-10 hrs is getting a bit silly isn't it?

I managed to miss the blue start photo, despite having spent most of the morning from 7:45 say in the shade next to the tea tent! (Think I was in the loo queue)!

I didn’t manage to make it to The Chandon unfortunately - when I went to meet clubmates first on Whitehall, my mother had unexpectedly turned up after work, so I didn’t really want to tell her I was planning to dash off to meet Fetchies as I’m not sure she would have got it!

Hope everyone got through today okay - it was really tough in the heat! I ran a PW, but was expecting that from quite early on. A few people from my club had good runs, but he majority struggled.

I didn't make the meet point due to queuing for toilets too Serendippily! I made it under 5:15 just about. Would have liked sub 5 but was no way I coukd manage that with the heat so I'll gladly take the extra 15 mins! Katie Price was dressed as a set of lungs lol. Apparently she pulled out at around 15km with a knee injury

Some of our local runners were on the elite drink station at 10k - they rescued Ms Price and had her sat in their van for a couple of hours. Apparently she was a good laugh

Did anyone have a problem with their chip not working or know anyone who has?

Daughters failed to activate at the start and then not picked up on any of the mats

It was correctly worn and scanned and "pipped" at registration. She has loads of photos on marathonphoto but none of the clock

About to ring VLM but interested to know if it's a one off or if there were more

Hi everybody,

I hope you all got round in one piece yesterday, and that you're vaguely able to function today. What a tough day for running!

It'd be great if you can call in to this thread to let us know your thoughts on next year's Fetchpoint:

Best wishes, and congratulations for all your hard work!

It does happen old man that’s so unlucky - happened to me on Neolithic marathon one year and I wasn’t wearing a garmin either so it’s the marathon that time forgot - they will probably get her to send in the chip I suspect a 10000th of them are faulty from the manufacturer so they will understand - hope she gets her time

Gemmalouise we must’ve been practically running together! Next time for us both, maybe;-)

You were fantastic fetcheveryone will do

I see sadly there was a participant death yesterday, a former masterchef competitor. Sad news.

Well done all, it was certainly tough, Fetchpoint was a real boost and got me running again, I'm certainly happier that side of the fence.
