Flippin back that was brutal. Despite that I really enjoyed it. Stuck ridgedly to plan to run at a pace that allowed me to enjoy it. Massive thanks to Fetchpoint for cheers on both sides of the road when I announced myself as a fetchie

Lots of newbie cockups - took longer than thought to get to Blackheath. I was then in the toilet queue until 9.57 so missed the tea tent. Genuinely sorry to miss my chance to gaze in wonder at jock and meet zhenderboy and princesszee - that was a tough first marathon. So panicked was I that I was late for the start I ran to the nearest pen queue only to find that was wave 5 rather than wave 7. Luckily found my mistake I was 5.11 in end, but I figured the heat would add half hour to my time and I was a good 40 min faster than Brighton last year. And it was hotter. And I had a MUCH nicer time because there was a huge fetchpoint to look forward to and water and a tshirt at the end. Also I got to see Katie Price in what looked like several hooped dresses turned into butterfly wings. Random
