am ok today! Blood pressure was so low that it wouldn't record! Oxygen stats plummeted and caused concern! ECG picked up abnormality! Raynaud's kicked in badly! I have a low blood pressure and a heart murmur anyway and what with other things wrong(!) it was decided I was a very fit unhealthy individual! No diagnosis other than a combination of factors contributed to the lights almost going out! Will run again tomorrow for a short distance WITH someone but annoyed that I missed the 21 miles my friends clocked! |

alps2oceanultra.com this is taking place near me next year... I could be interested but is rather pricey around a grand, but includes accomodation (if I get a full time job I may splash out). It is mostly down hill..... if that is tempting. |

thank goodness I seem to be ok and have recovered and put in 17 miles since my bad weekend. Ran with friends on two runs of 7 and 10 miles with no problems,

Finally read the blog Toks well done. I fancy a go at the D33 but I think it's going to have to be 2018. |

Will have to start lurking here as have signed up to lose my ultra virginity with the Sandstone Trail Challenge in early May (33 trail miles going practically past my home at 32 miles in). I've sketched out a broad brush plan for running over the next few months and I'm in reasonably decent shape (for me) at the moment (targetting a 1hr30 half this weekend). Any thoughts - I've effectively built 2 x easy-ish 5 milers in the week plus building weekend mileage with doubles up to 5hrs30 combined (I'm hoping to finish in just about that sort of time). http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-plan-view.php?id=451 |
