Yesterday: The Skye Boat Song, much covered, probably best described as traditional.

What: hopefully a short run

Why: forever hopeful!

Morning!
Lyrics, think so!
Ale, enjoy your run!
RooA shame about the injury, hope it settles soon.
Hazel, hope you get company for your run.
Dustin, nothing like a muddy run.
Veloci, still plague free I hope?
Dry sunny and cold, off out to beat these shoes into submission! Possibly yoga depends how cold and muddy I am afterwards!
Amused by video of the 3 grandkids running laps between the living room, hallway and kitchen last night with Sean trying to shut the doors on his siblings! Never quiet there except when they're asleep!

Good morning :)

Enjoy your run, @alehouse, and your travels.

Lyrics: No.

What: Some easy running, some dumbbell-wafting, and a Spanish lesson.
Why: Still got mild lurgy symptoms, but nothing between neck and diaphragm so I don't need to not train.
Last hard: Ages ago.

Morning

Oh a trip to look forward to @alehouse. Enjoy!

Enjoy the multisport day @PeterFay

Some nice fires to look forward to to reward you for your work @Derby Tup ?

No run in company today @ElspethF , we will meet up for food and chat instead!

Fingers crossed @Velociraptor

Hope you find a good alternative @Wabo

Hope the ankle is better today @RooA

Nice soggy running yesterday @Dustin

What: solo 8 miles with a few short hillz and strides
Why: that should fit in nicely
Last hard: work - trying to get the right amount of money to land in the right place - anyone want some? (you need an account in NL though)
Last rest: yesterday

Lyrics: should likely know these but haven't thought enough yet

Morning. Thanks for good ankle wishes! Rest and ice yesterday has tamed the niggle enough to...

What - 4 miles, easy on perceived effort
Why - looking after niggle
Last hard - Saturday

Last rest - yesterday

Lyrics- nope.

Ankle back on ice as a precaution- it did pull a little up the hills.

Also yoga this morning, turned out to be quite plank-tastic, and did a weights session last night. Feeling my quads a little.

Hazel, food and chat is also good!
Veloci, glad symptoms are mild.
Well no excuse not to go to yoga, run done, mud washed off but not feeling like it, will have to boot myself out! Very heavy legs!

About This Thread

Maintained by PeterFay
Each day someone sets some song lyrics, often on a particular theme, eg colours, numbers, running, etc. Others then say whether they know the song or not, but DO NOT say what the song is: the answer is revealed the next day.

Current theme: Transport

Previous themes: The Weather, Olympics, Colours

Future themes? December, Numbers, Girls' Names, Boys' Names, Creatures, Nature, Movement, Places...please suggest!

Contributors then say
What their training will be
Why they are doing it

Some also say
Last hard
Last rest

Plus of course general comments about the weather, other people’s training or races…illness or injuries!

Feel free to join us and why not set some lyrics once you get the hang of the thread?
