We were last parkrun standing and ended up with 522 finishers - amazingly it all went really well with no incidents and no results issues

I retro-added the first Maryport parkrun to the listings after the event had been included on the Fetch parkrun list.

Impressed, HB 40 at Bower Park. It's enough once people start lapping and being lapped. |

I did California Country parkrun today as my local was flooded as well. I will be in Devon next weekend so was very excited to find out about the new Totnes parkrun last night. Although the elevation looks even more demanding than Parke!

We had a turnout of 104 at Ayr this morning (our average is 70) just because we were event 333. Apparently a “Triple Nelson” is worth travelling massive distances for! (I do wonder if HQ will need to remove event numbers at some point to stop these quirky spikes in attendance.) The team coped fine, although a couple of the dog walkers in the park looked even more fed up with us than usual! |

Hellywobs, I’d say it’s a tougher course than Parke, although the surface is generally better (there is a section at the turnaround which isn’t great, but I suppose that will be okay when it’s dry). I don’t think there’s much, if any, flat so it’s either up or down, but it is very nice around there. For me it’s nice to have another one I can easily get to. Torbay is about 1.5 miles away, which I run to, and although I like it and know a lot of the people there, I’d have to say it’s not the most exciting of courses. This one I can bus to (25 mins), do the event, and then run a trail back home which will be a nice option for me. I was invited a few weeks along by one of the Torbay RDs so I went down to check it out. |

Southall for me today. Parkruns near me were either off or involved a lot of wading. Southall was a really nice alternative and there was a great atmosphere with lots of smiley people including civilians.
