The fact they complain about the parkrunners leaving rubbish but then you look down the page and all the recent posts (pre-parkrun) are about rubbish and litter collecting is quite telling

Any thoughts on the global growth of parkrun? I show below the numbers for the last year. Dec 3 2016: 132,666. Dec 2 2017: 156,627 In Dec 2015 the same was 85,582



Does seem to be tailing off from the massive year on year growth.

In a way that's to be expected in the UK I think - most of the 'obvious' parks and groups of runners have possibly all got their parkruns now. I suspect the major growth will be across Europe from now on, or possibly the US.

My initial thoughts are that I wouldn't base any assumptions on one isolated week, especially one which showed approximately a 15% drop from the previous week.

My second thought is "where's that chart, I can't find it" ;-). Could you point me to the right place?

England were in the rugby league world cup final at 9am on Saturday, live on BBC. Probably not the best date to choose for a year on year comparison.

I very much doubt the rugby league will have had a tangible impact on parkrun numbers. Fluctuations due to the weather are what make year-on-year comparisons difficult at this time of the year.
