Love the quilt, I want to do that with all my old rugby shirts and t-shirts...

Finally have a finished cowl, the Sprite is lovely and warm, would use again and the colours in the flesh really pop...

Pix - i used Vilene light iron-on interfacing. It keeps the t-shirt jersey from moving about and stretching while you sew it.

I had loads of t-shirts to play with, so picked 16 which would fit into a 12.5" square, then I sewed those together in 4 rows of 4 with some solid black fabric between them (to kind of 'frame' them) and more solid black top and bottom as a border. I'm about to pin the layers together so I'll bung a photo on here when I'm done (can't do it on FB as he might see it :-) )

oh thanks Fraggle

Some only have a small logo on them with the year whereas others like Concorde Tri from down south have a massive logo front and back!

There are also a couple of backs I like so all different shapes and sizes

but it fits nicely within the theme of "stitch through time" for the festival of quilts

just got out the interfacing - is by Vilene but called "Vlieseline F220" :-)

I have got some bigger/smaller logo shirts to play with too, and I found the best way of working out how to put the second quilt together was to draw them all out to scale on graph paper, cut them out and play around with placement *before* doing any cutting :-) HTH :-)
