Particularly when working with weights and masses, but also anything derived from forces (pressures, moments etc.), I've seen quite a few calculation errors due to imperial/customary being inconsistently defined.

Once I realised the 1.5:1 for basmati rice of course still applies, it was a simple matter of weighing out 150 g of rice for two and adding 225 ml water (which weighs 225 g) and by the absorption method this was the best and most accurately made rice I've had in a long time

(It's the interval and the theatre has free WiFi as the phone signal in this old building is rubbish) And I bet half the idiots here who have loaded up on drinks at the interval won't last through the second half without needing a pee,
