Great tree-ing Gobi! We did tree in the Wednesday morning class. I find one side is always better than the other some days, others both work well. I've been working on Warrior 3 as well.

My right is always better than left as my left ankle is the really bad one on the bad leg.

Currently I do this facing a table so I can reach out and stabilise but want to be totally free standing as an ultimate goal :-)

I use the wall when I'm practicing on my own...when I'm teaching, that wall is not nearby, so it can be amusing watching me wobble into position!!!

DocM, I bought my mat from my yoga teacher over 20 years ago. I can't remember how much it cost. It is washable, so dirt not an issue, and has no damage apart from a tiny nick. So I wonder whether it's worth spending a bit more for longevity.

I spent £80 on my mat. It's lasted over 15 years so far and still looks absolutely pristine, and that includes it spending a year in the filth and humidity of India and surviving my extremely sweaty Ashtanga teacher training whilst I was there.

It's slightly longer and thicker than a normal mat, and extremely grippy too, even in monsoon season!

Sounds like you've got your money's worth out of your mat KinkyS. What kind is it?

Does anyone do Pilates? There are a couple of dormant threads so thought I would ask here

I quite like Pilates but can only last about 10 minutes until I get to the “f*** this bull***” stage. It seems like it is doing some good

I have done Pilates in the past - ages ago at the gym and a few years ago as I was trying to get shoulder strength and mobility back so I could do yoga again, then start teacher training.

There were times in the more recent time when I was thinking just what you were!!
