Ouch

Will be out in the morning doing a marathon pace session in AF, not fancying my chances of getting round unscathed after all this carnage

I did a parkrun today in AF's that had sharp turnaround points (180 degree's). I took it easy around the turnarounds, but didnt have any issues.

I am a very 'flatfooted' runner though (did notice the slapping noise of the AF's on the ground, they are not quiet!)
I didnt beat my time of last week where I used the saucony (was very close though), but today was very windy and wasnt a good comparison, may try again next week.

Mine was at a parkrun that has mud. I could have gone over in trail shoes. Pure lack of concentration while not running flat out.

Nasty Gobi. Look after yourself, we are getting too old for this falling over thing.

They look nice Gus. I’ll take a look for some of those. I like my Hoka Rocket X but I don’t think they are fast like the Nike although they are lower / more like a normal shoe.

Apologies if I’ve put anyone off the AF. I’ve never fallen over in a pair of 4% or next% if that helps anyone!!

Survived 18 miles in AF this morning, all on road but some bits covered in floodskank from recent deluges.

I suspect my footstrike would look similar to WW's picture

first finisher at Dinton parkrun yesterday was in Next %. It's rather muddy at this time of year but he said there was only one stretch that was challenging (around the 1km mark I guess, but you do it twice).

Have you ever tried to fix that foot strike WW? Interested because I land in exactly the same way and wondered if there's a way to train yourself out of it. I can't run at all at the moment anyway so I've got time to think about it :-)

Half marathon in my VF4% this morning (240 miles on them now). There were some sections where the road was covered in a mixture of gritty mud and slippy mud. The shoes weren't impressed.
