I'm really tempted to plan my training around getting sub-3:35 at Snowdonia and that being my marathon PB!!!! *in my dreams* :-)

Naomi, I've not really tried for 3:30 yet. I've not trained or taped for a mara for the last 3 years as always training for the longer stuff. The two 3:3x times have been on training runs, so reasonably confident if I target one, do a bit of focused training and taper that it's doable, but at the moment it's not a priority.

Bummer BVR :-(

That's the thing Flanker, you do indeed have to target it. But that often doesn't fit into other stuff like ultras or loads of marathons. Sure you'll get it when you do have a bash.

Bellevue- I ran a couple of marathons with painful lungs in June 2010. I don't recommend it, I came back earlier than I *should* have, and it did hurt. GWS, tho gutted for you.

Well done to all the recent 3.30'ers :) And good luck for Sunday those having a go at VLM.
