I'm going to run a HM at marathon pace 2 weeks out.
All-out would be too hard to recover from.

On Sunday? A pair of inov8 that are shocking on every surface except... grass. So I got lucky to some degree.

I’ve got used to wearing my Cascadia trail shoes for most off road running, bit in hindsight Sunday really needed something more aggressive and I should have worn my inov8s.

There's a fair few of us with goal races coming up.

One month out and I'm already starting to get butterflies. Properly feeling the nerves already. Ridiculous really. It's been so long since I completed a marathon, too. But the training is going really well. I have a right leg niggle but it's under control, just about. Feeling good. How's everyone else doing?

Good to hear that your training is going to plan. I'm doing well, too, thank you :-)

I've had 3 big running days this week, Monday with 30k, Wednesday 18k and Thursday 21k with 9.5k at MP or close to it. Friday, probably just an easy 10k, Saturday either parkrun with running to the venue or a 15k with friends, 32k LR with some bits at MP on Sunday. This is probably going to be my biggest week as I plan to do a mini taper for the 10k on Easter Saturday.

I'm feeling stronger than a month ago and the 30k didn't feel as bad as the first 25k a while ago so I'm confident I'll survive the 32k without too much damage. I think I'm peaking just about at the right time - last year, I had an 18 weeks plan and I started to feel a bit nervous about a month out, wondering whether I was peaking too soon.
