Not been in here for a long time. Hamstring and glute boggles have prevented me from enjoying running.

Great to see the same names still posting and running 🤝

Riggsy - We have all been there. Hindsight says you shouldnt have done the marathon but we all hope it will just get better.

Take your time, when you think it is ready, give it another week, when you think it is really ready give it one more week, when you know its ready give it one more week and then off you go!!! (Easier said than done though)

This is coming from someone who hasnt be able to run anything apart from a handful of 5ks in 12 months! (I have got better at swimming though!!)

that's tough @riggys99, we've all been there as Daz says and the vast majority of the time we come back. No doubt that you will too. Is there any x-training that you can do in the mean time to keep you ticking over? From my perspective you've done the right thing in stopping running.

I've a bit of an achilles niggle too. I sat around for a couple of days sulking as I was planning to run a 10k on NYD. It's odd, I've run hundreds of race over the years and missed many too. Missing them is tough though when you've been building towards them. Hopefully, you've accepted that you can't run the HM that you were targeting and can instead switch the target to building back to another target next year. Rough times, hang in there....

Thanks all.

@Windsor Wool I am happy to not do the jan HM and transferred my entry to an April HM.

@Daz Love going to be careful with the comeback. Just some easy miles and maybe some miles a bit slower than MP effort as things improve. Will have to be careful when the shock wave therapy starts so not making any marathon plans or entries till sure I am fixed

Hi all, if there's anyone out there?! Perhaps everyone is just diligently training away :-)

Wondering if 3:15 isn't quite the target it used to be nowadays. It's quite sad for me to see what used to be the best training thread on FE so quiet. So, a couple of questions....

1. Anyone out there ready to announce themselves with the sub 3:15 target and let us share your journey to success this spring?

2. Is there someone out there who feels like they can really inject some new energy in to this thread and wants to take over as Threadmin? I love to try and help and advise anyone who comes in to help but, given that I can rarely run around the block nowadays, I am not going to be adding new and exciting training updates to get things going!
