I have had 3 bursitises (what's plural of bursitis?) - which were front of and back of knee (2019 and 2012 respectively). Both recovered with rest, bit of ice and heat, and some specific physio exercises to stretch offending tightness cause and to strengthen weak muscles to prevent in future.

Don't know if my bursitis treatments will be relevant though. Good luck with treatment and recovery. Fmail me for more specific details of exercises if you want SKR. :-) G

Well Boston has gone the way of all the other marathons and cancelled. I had been in two minds whether to do it anyway and have taken a holiday from both work and running for the past couple of weeks, so no great loss.

I’ll get back out there and focus on base training until it looks like races will restart.

Langdale marathon still on I think - I’m aiming at the half :-)

(Though...half expecting it to be cancelled)

I entered an ultra yesterday, to be held on 7th November - they've taken 150 entries, no details yet of whether it will be wave starts, or what registration or finishing area arrangements are.

It starts and finishes in my village, so no need to worry about accommodation or travel.

I see that the GFA for London 2021 are out.

They have got round the potential issue of 'dodgy' times gaining GFA in the Virtual event by adding this.

If you are taking part in the virtual event on 4 October 2020 and did not qualify for a Good for Age Place in the 2020 event, you will be able to apply for a Good for Age place in the 2021 event if you achieve the relevant qualification time as displayed in Table 1 above in the virtual event on 4 October.

You will also need to submit evidence of a half marathon time that meets the qualification time displayed in Table 3 below on a certified course/event during the qualifying time period, which is 1 January 2019 to 4 October 2020.
