Probably that's due to time out recovering and your actual training volume drops due to the marathons, so even though you did 26M in one day over the week / month is less than what you might do if just training.
I could also say I'm MAF training as well but truth is I'm just fat, but I have managed over a 100M but not even recording the pace until I drop another stone (17lb down already). For me wfh works great for mileage, I am getting out three times a day and without the commute I am still up timewise

Yeah, that's the issue. Say I do two marathons a month, which I guess is fairly normal for me presuming I'm not injured, the mileage would be a fair bit lower than months with no marathons. Also marathons just make me hungry in comparison to, say, an easy 10-miler. It's something I definitely need to look at as I know there are some very simple tweaks I can make.
Well done on your weight loss - that is significant!

I'm already regretting not getting up early for my run today. Gonna be a warm one tonight!

lark, are you going to start a whole-hearted prep for GMM now?
I think that Hamburg news has changed a few mindsets!

If London goes ahead I can’t see me doing a full prep and will just see where I am and got for maybe a negative split effort run carefully to hr.

My definition of "whole hearted prep" is getting to 30mpw over the next 3-4 weeks so that by decision day for Manchester I'm not as poorly tuned as I am today. So on that basis, yes I am. Jan-Mar this year showed me I could turn around from a relatively poor position in 12 weeks if I committed, but I will admit to struggling at the moment seeing the HR data etc. But that's the very stuff that will improve with a P&D block, so my rational side of the brain tells me it will all be OK!

Windermere in Nov sounds really good G, something to really look forward to. I'm tempted to go and look at the website but I won't...
...if London goes ahead I will run it because it is such a special day out and I realize what a privilege it is to have access to a race that some many others crave. There's no way that I can get myself motivated to train properly or target another race though until everything is just that bit clearer.
That sounds like a good plan to me lark and we all know (and envy) how quickly you are able to jump back to very good shape. I've been keeping my eye in to some extent during lockdown. I've averaged 52 mpw but for the most part my running has been very 'general' and I actually feel really unfit. My plan is to nudge the weekly LR up over the next few weeks just in case VLM looks like it's going to be a goer.
Sounds like I'd be able to run to 20 miles with Baz and then have a little walk along Embankment

I reckon I am close to being 3:15 shape now if I just made the long runs a wee bit longer. The question is can I be bothered upping the game to move that towards 3 or not. I suspect not.
WW - Ive only walked once in a mararhon and that was because I was injured,..Dont plan to do that again

I'm doing fairly intensive base training including a LR each week, just in case. I have entries to Boston Uk and Eindhoven. Eindhoven issued a statement last week saying they were still working out whether they could make it work. Nothing from Boston yet. I'll just carry on the base training and if they haven't been cancelled by end of July I can develop a plan to race day.
