My lowest May since 2012, and second lowest on Fetch! Cycling has seen a boost though; taking a chance to be ultra cautious with a groin niggle, and then getting lured in by the gaming of Zwift where I don’t like being utterly rubbish, is I’m trying to improve. Not really missing the running though, I need a decent race goal to get my juices flowing!

Highest ever April and May totals for me too. In fact an unbroken run of 7 months like that since November. Have had a strong attack of CBA the last few days but forced myself out this morning for a long run in the sun.
Unsurprisingly the mileage is converting into my best ever pace/HR numbers. If only I could get to the start line of a marathon in autumn I would be in shape for a sub 3 attempt...

Lowest ever May, which followed my lowest ever April, which followed my 2nd lowest ever March
Sadly a reflection of where I am with running injuries at the moment
But, on the bright side getting some decent bike miles in and yesterday did my longest ever cycle at 73 miles

sorry to read that you are still struggling Gus. You seem to have huge amounts of patience, hope that pays dividends for you.
Puzzler - your training has been really fantastic. There’s no question that you are in sub 3 shape, those runs you’ve been doing are well beyond anything I’ve achieved. Hope you can find a race to cash in on later in the year.

Brunski
I've had a fun May, a bunch of us that were marathon training set up a May lockdown challenge...
2 parkruns, a timed mile, the Ross Barkley 5k (ridiculous) and a hilly trail segment that's very popular with Sheffield runners.
All Month to tick off the challenges, as the month progressed I just got quicker and quicker. Ended up in a ding-dong for first spot with a mate (Tom) who's a sub 2:45 marathoner.
Anyway the last day had me 1 point infront, but he went and ran 16:4* for one of the parkruns to jump from 3rd to 1st in that and opening a 2 point lead. I improved on the steep trail path in the morning (from 2nd to 1st & a clutch of strava CRs) and was left with a 4:58 mile to beat to take the lockdown cup win. Only rule was there's an allowable 15m overall elevation drop.. Picked my route using Fetch route planner, had a big Sunday dinner, waited a few hours, foam rolled, stuck on the vaporflys, left it late (8pm on the final day) and set off.
4:54 mile and the victory

Nice running Brunski. Excellent way of keeping motivation without any imminent races.
Highest May for me too. Lots of very slow base mileage.

Lol Brunski. That sounds like fun... and impressive running speed - a 4:54 mile?! I can't imagine having a mile time with a 4:xx at the start! G
