323g for a dainty size sounds like a bit of a boat anchor - my clog comment on Bazo's blog was supposed to be a joke but now I'm not so sure! There much be room for quite a saving there. I see pretty much everyone else here also does the "occasional run and race" thing with lightweight shoes which seems like the obvious approach.

I might need to ask Santa for some lightweights but I'd be nervous running that far on tarmac in anything other than familiar training shoes. But I guess if I don't try I'll not know what the difference feels like.

What size are you Baz? That's not that heavy.
I weighed my shoes for comparison, size 41/42:
Tempo boost: 230g Boston boost: 222g Kinvara: 201g Vaporfly: 188g
So there's a bit to save but not actually that much...
