Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well done Clare.

I've found it interesting the change in difficulty of doing a sub20 over the last year. About 12months ago I was thinking I might possibly be able creep under, but still it was a huge challenge.

This weekend on a not particularly fast course I managed a mid 19 5k, and indeed whenever I've raced a fast 5k I've comfortably been sub 20. How much is physical improvement and how much is psychology I don't know.

Hopefully with more work I can reach a similar point with sub19, and from there who knows what. It's great motivation.

Poole parkrun for me this morning in 19:45. Only 2 weeks after 1st marathon so I'm pleased. A 12 year old boy beat me by 2 places today which is just brilliant. Had a quick chat with the lad and it was a 40 second PB for him. I love running!

Well done, iamp. I'm bringing my times down again now - 20m 03 at Blandford parkrun yesterday. Tried to stay with the JM11-14 who effortly cruised past me in the last 400m but didn't have enough left. Next time.…
