Did RtS in September and just got my 100 day badge 2 days ago. Can't quite believe I've done it after a shocking few years of running, but feel great and really enjoying just getting out there. So what did I do when I reached 100? Yep, just carried on, 102 days now and it just feels like what I do.

Some of the streaks on here though are mind blowing!

SteveC I still struggle, I'm approaching 600 days. Didn't run until half 11 last night cos I got myself in a stew.

But at the same time, I would be very upset if I broke my streak due to a CBA or a mardy episode so I gave my head a wobble and went out for a very angry mile.

Today is a new day and will be a new run tonight :)

cackleberrry have done the 11.30pm run so many times! I've found my other challenge to do a daily gps art has really helped with my daily motivation. As well as of course this thread :)

SteveC amid the winters snow
Some interesting answers here on how automatic it has become. It used to help my motivation to change out of work clothes into running gear as soon as I got home. Since I retired I put on running gear first thing in the morning, usually, while I check the weatber window, have a coffee and plan a route. It genuinely took about two years before it was no longer an imposition some days.

Most days its a breeze and I look forward to blowing off some steam.
Other days its the stupidest thing I've ever thought of!

It doesn't help that my road is a very boring, dark country lane so it's not very inspiring when cold and dark. 'Shall I go left or shall I go right tonight?!'

Looking forward to being able to travel more and holidays again to run somewhere fresh as that is always fun :)

I live on a country lane too, I won’t go out for a run if it’s pitch black, even with a torch (I don’t mind a glimmer of daylight), so it’s tricky this time of year. I have had to drive to somewhere with streetlights a couple of times.

One of the few positives about all this lockdown/restriction business is that there is significantly less traffic tearing past my house at 70mph! The lanes are actually quite pleasant when it's daylight and traffic free, it was nice to 're-discover' them during the first lockdown. Too dark now to be safe from the few cars that are about.

Lots of hi-vis and a head torch and I'm away, only for basic mile or so runs though.

Normally run off-road, regardless of weather or light/dark situation. Thankfully, I live a 10min drive away from the edge of the North York Moors so there's lots of options.
