Mr Pix has spoken to one of his old pension providers (final salary from first job) He was asking about taking a drawdown and they said once he does that he’ll start getting a monthly payment too I thought you could just take the 25% and leave the rest for a later date? |

EP - it may depend on the scheme rules, or for the general case, you may need expert advice. I looked at some of myy old annual updates (from when I was working) and they are all phrased : "At retirement you may eect to give up part of your pension to receive a Pension Commencement Lump Sum ..." So for my DB scheme, the tax free cash and start of pension payments were tied together. |

Thanks all See IFA again on Monday Seeing what’s best for Mr Pix use savings or pension For me it’s savings as I can’t access my PPP until 57 It was nice to hear him say our actions re gran’s money had been wise |
