TROSaracen 26 Jun 12:07pm, 26 Jun 2024 27,984 posts	0 TROSaracen You should have told him you profoundly regret not stopping 5 years ago…… I spent hours bored at work, can’t recall a second of boredom since I left….some people just have this weird attachment to work and a worrying inability to think of interests, challenges etc to fill up a life without it.

3M 26 Jun 12:08pm, 26 Jun 2024 24,296 posts	0 3M IFAs tend to be a bit "driven" as personality types, IMO! The one I know socially retired last year aged 69..... And she still does a little bit of training etc. as well as some "specialist" consultancy to keep her hand in!

The last financial adviser I had regular dealings with was tied, but the script whereby he'd try to sell me stuff and I'd laugh at him seemed almost incidental to our meetings.
