You're doing well Pix. Right back on track after the mini-tiniest of wobbles last weekend! Day off on Sunday, innit?
Apart from eating too much for sporting perfection this weekend it's gone well. Cooked parkin and mock retro choc lunch buns and did long road hills this morning. Coach had asked for downs as well as ups so that's what I did.
Squashed in Day four of my Jennis abs challenge - 20 toe reach crunches, 22 basic crunches, 24 sit up and reach. Sorted!
Telly now!

Not the best week for me in any sense really. Couldn't get booked onto the climbing wall so no bouldering at all. I don't think I really did anything with other people either because I couldn't get along to Thurs evening bike ride. I did manage a run, a work out and a bike ride during the week. I did yoga every morning I think. Oh actually that doesn't sound all that bad. I also went out on the bike today and did an electrical job that scared me.
I'm all packed up and ready for my little West coast break. Really grateful that current restrictions still allow this and looking forward to exploring. I have bike stuff so I can try out the Nevis range blue trails, my climbing stuff because the forecast is pants for Wed and my wetsuit because the lodge is beside a sea loch and maybe I'll be brave enough for a little dip.

Eleven cross training sessions in fifteen days for me. I think my legs are starting to look a bit stronger. Not sure about a six pack yet mind

Not a bad week at all, halfpint. Are you focusing on what you weren't able to do and losing sight of what you achieved? Enjoy your break
DT, it sounds as if your approach to cross training is just like your I'll-sleep-when-I'm-dead approach to everything else
Sharkie, I thought your use of the hills at your disposal was brilliant.

I've just come in from my third weights session, having had almost no DOMS from the second. And did 20 x 200(ish) metre efforts on Friday, so all my boxes were ticked this week.

Ticking boxes is good; including boxes with labels saying ‘rest’
Incidentally is this a good place to say the wife ran 50 miles yesterday

It is DEFINITELY a good place to big up nearest and dearest! - If they deserve it - and Stef does, emphatically.

Morning all turbo done and today's cunning trick to try and stop me sitting at desk almost all of the day is to ... sit in lycra set alarm clock of 10AM (so 2 hrs after starting work) in a location that requires getting up to turn alarm off. This will then (hopefully) turn into an actual break when I plan a short yoga session
It seems a workable plan at least
