The hundred pressup challenge - anyone up for it?

I must admit that I thought the initial test had to be full press ups and then if you could only manage less than 5 then you could do the alternative ones for the training weeks. i could be wrong though - I often am :-)

I thought that whatever ones you did for your test you then do for the 6 week program.

Don't seem to be suffering DOMS today after doing day 2 yesterday :-)

Just done day 3, week 1.
Finding it harder as the reps increase, which is probably a good sign.
Managed 30 int he final set before my arms went crump!

Did week 1 day 1 last night and found it very tough :-( only managed 10 for the last set, i did feel a bit crappy though (excuses excuses :-)

There's the bit in the initial test which says something along the lines of 'if you can only manage a couple of manly pressups do an alternative' (I paraphrase).

For me at the moment I'll stick to girly ones because manly ones just ain't gonna happen. It's all to do with strength/weight ratio or as I put it at Yoga last night, how big your arse is!

Presumably starting from any point and trying to do more at that sort of pressup is going to have a beneficial effect :-) I hope so cos my arms are quite tender right now ;-)

Just did week 2 day 1. My triceps are telling me all about it. I have no doubt I'm going to failure on the last set. I fell flat on my face trying to squeeze out the last one there! lol :)

12, 12, 9, 7, 13
