I've decided to take up hula hooping as a way of doing some core strengthening. It's not very easy so I'm going to track my progress here. Any tips advice are really very most welcome, please

I think there are fewer calories in Monster Monch, and the bags are more difficult to open

I'm starting with 5 minutes at a time.
Day 1 - I built the hoop but it looked huge and was heavy so I took 2 sections out. 3 or 4 spins was the most I managed. I watched some YouTube clips for advice from the experts. They make it look easy. I learned that the hoop needs to reach up to your waist from the ground for beginners - big is better!
Day 2 - I put the 2 sections back in to make the hoop bigger. I managed 5 spins a few times but I'm getting bruised ankles from the hoop keep landing on them.
Day 3 - progress! I managed 7 or 8 spins a few times and a 10 once my waist is feeling a bit tender and my muscles are very gently complaining, so it must be doing some good. I measured my waist today. I'm hoping to see some reduction over the weeks.

If you have any good hula hoop links (imagine there's thousands out there) perhaps list them here

My only tip is from watching the girls at school who are amazing at it (and 6). They stand with one foot in front of the other rather than with their feet side by side.
