Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I had fast days on Monday and Thursday. Weigh in tomorrow. I find the fast days liberating somehow. Like its nice to not be thinking about food all day. I skip breakfasts and lunch and eat a light tea. As long as the weight loss happens I could happily stick with this :-)

Thinking about food came and went for me yesterday. It was quite an odd sensation making myself deliberately hungry - just went against everything I'd ever tried before to lose wieght............and yet seemed so right somehow.

It's also odd that I'm looking forward to doing it again tomorrow :-)

I skip breakfast, drink plenty of water, and have a Coventry garden soup or an innocent food pot for lunch and a homemade supper - dhal and some veg in the evening. I miss my bread, but then I can eat that on the other five days. Lost 5 lb in two weeks..... Good start, but lets see where I am after three months. Planning to run a 10 k in April so hoping for a PB if lighter :)

Fast day number 3. I'm staying away from the scales for a month. I like the suspense. :)

I don't need to lose any weight - quite the opposite in fact, but am interested in the other health aspects of this so am going to buy the kindle book and have a read. Coming from a dietetics background and knowing the successes people have, not just weight loss but BM control and cholesterol n triglycerides when prescribed the VLCD I have a very open mind to this :-)

Another fasting day today and have been looking forward to it ?. Not been on the scales for a week, not much point as i have a couple of stone to shift, but i'm in no rush. Have started reading M Mosley's book and have to say not a bad read.

Could be that mudskipper - try eating a hard boiled egg - 100 calories but keeps you feeling full for quite a while ;-)
