Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Looks interesting Marchbanks. My digestive system could do with some rest days. I eat healthily but loads and all the time!

I done it last week but I thought it'd be good to share the experience with some fetchies who are also up for the challenge. Fast day tomorrow for me, I will come back and share how I got on.

Great. The food the bloke at the link ate on his 'fast' days would probably be enough to keep the wolf from the door for me.

There is me thinking I done it last week but looking at my calorie intake on my app, I managed one fast day but consumed 800 calories so that was a lie!

I've been pondering over trying this one, sounds good for those of us who only last a few weeks on calorie restriction (me) before falling off the wagon. Throw some exercise in there (on non fast days) and that'll boost the calorie burn. I keep putting off what day to start and whether to snack all day on low calorie stuff or have a big breakfast/lunch/dinner and starve the rest of the day...

Info - m.bbc.co.uk

5 days of 'normal' eating and 2 days eating 600 calories (men), 500 calories (women).

Fast days are best not done on consecutive days, unless you have amazing willpower.
