I've seen that trait in ds when asked to mind his younger cousins. He also helps out at a music related holiday club and the organiser also raves about how helpful he is.

Same with ds2 and his tennis coaching. Who doesn't love being looked up to, right?
Also applied to much younger cousins!

Yes, it was weird watching my niece grow up from being adored elder cousin to one of adults. She made me proud today

QP claims to hate little kids but he’s bloomin’ brilliant with them and they love him.

Cedd is doing his D Of E volunteering at Beavers. They love him bit it's not making his heart sing. He wanted to volunteer at ice hockey but big bad mum said no because she couldn't stand another night at the rink.

Youngest (21) is helping at a holiday sports camp this week. She’s already developed some young kids that love her! She said it was ‘very easy’ today, but realised just how hyper young kids can be!

The organisers are a bit shit though, told her she’s just volunteering this week but they’ll probably pay her for weeks in the summer once she has experience, but she’s an essential member of staff and not just observing. We’ve discussed how to raise the subject to hopefully get paid.

Today I found out that as far as my teenagers are concerned I'm officially a "throwback". It's their final week in school and they are celebrating throwback fashions. All three have gone in today wearing one of my old running shirts, the oldest one being San Francisco Marathon in 1999. Second last ever school run today, tomorrow will be a bit emotional.
