Thanks Linds. It just still seems so weird that she stopped going to school and other than a meeting start yr10 to suggest she still try and get into Spanish, everyone has just accepted it and worked round it

Not now I’m not working no, and we need to be part of the school system. We went private for an mha and the medication did get her sleeping again but now she crashes out all the time and I’m quite uncomfortable it is only a papering of cracks

Re theatre: show weekend - he loves acting! And hanging out with the others.

There is a launch meeting for Oliver in May, so we can go & find out & experience with no commitment, and can see if any of his buddies want to go too.

That sounds really exciting. I have been a terror at trying to prep child for failure, it is completely unnecessary amd counterproductive and i’d take it back if i could, they know all about expectations management from school, a bit of “have a go and see if it works” abd “go for it if you fancy it” is generally much more helpful

One of my friend’s daughters did Oliver. It was quite a commitment, several shows a week with late finishes. But such a great thing to do if you can make it work.

Teen is off to woods today. It was the only holiday club she would willingly consent to, not because she loves the great outdoors, but because the two people who run it have a dry humour. Elsa asked if she could help now she is old enough, and to my surprise she signed up for two days. She is popular with the 5 year olds who need carrying about, and as far as i can work out, despite scorning everything about children and the great outdoors, they will all acknowledge her superiority, and thats the appeal for her :-) Elsa is on the money too, young children love older teens who give them any attention

That's true. I was amazed at how well LittleD took to being an usher at the school play last week. It helped that she really loves and trusts the person who asked her.
