Youngest went back on Monday - he’s got much better walking, running and birding country on his doorstep there and he’s far rather be drinking beer and watching Netflix with his housemates in person rather than remotely. There’s 4 in his privately rented shared house and he hasn’t sent foot on campus since last march except to go for a Covid test before he came home in December and another as soon as he got back this week - both negative

We knew we were online until Sept except for one specific module (that I don't teach). This module (and all others) have been declared online only until 1 March at least.

Woken at 6:30 by QP going to loo. Turns out he has not slept at all. The plan is to keep him awake all day so he goes to bed at a sensible time and resets his body clock. Hmmm!

We've done that many times with Billy. It's a PIA.

I was woken at 06:30 by my 22yo ,but she was on her way to work - it may not change but at least it will be for the right reasons :-)

My ds was definitely up until around 4am this morning. He seems to snap back ok for school days, but he's it makes him a grumpy sod! He's so much nicer when he's sleeping midnight to 8 every day.

HP, my son did exactly that the day before he was due back ‘online’ at school. He came downstairs fully dressed at 7:15am, walked into the kitchen while I had the radio on and was tidying up. I didn’t hear him until he was right behind me and I screamed blue murder! Frightened the bloody life out of me!! He couldn’t sleep after going to bed at 6am so got up. He managed to stay awake until 4pm when I allowed him an hours nap. Then I bullied him awake again, fed him then sent him to bed until the next morning. He woke up about 8am and has been on a better pattern since then.

He’s gone for a nap but gave me permission to get him up before I go to the supermarket. I’ve left the hoovering for him to do to keep him awake. I’m such a thoughtful mum :)

Good luck. I think we've been around that loop about six times in the last year and he's heading that way again.

He’s just appeared without the need for my intervention :-o He’s completely forgotten what we agreed before his nap though and thought he was walking the dog.
