Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Watching BBC Breakfast and getting so frustrated. Louise Minchin is giving Gavin Williamson a thorough grilling though.

MP inability to hold hands up and say ‘this is a total clusterfuck and we’re sorry and here’s how we’re going to fix it’. Usual waffle and spin to deny accountability (including trying to compare themselves favourably against Scotland). Failure to answer questions in favour of trotting out the same rehearsed message over and over.

Williamson had the demeanour of a person soon to 'spend more time with his family...'

The head of UCAS came over as well prepared, upbeat even but dealing with the outcomes of the reversed policies looks likely to be serena swan and flippers thrashinh madly below the water.

I hope his family were not waiting for exam results - imagine that conversation over tea

GW - what grades did you get
Mini GW - B, C and fail
GW - but you were predicted straight As
Mini GW - I know Dad, but you had an algorithm that sorted this out to make it fair
GW - I will write to my MP

Except his kids would have been at a private school and therefore not hit with the same algorithm stick as the common folk...

Anyway back to waiting again now. But feeling more optimistic about this wait.
