Good luck to dd, PH. Hugs to Joopsy, but with all those kids I'm sure some of them will be back through the revolving parental door! Ds2 is like a different person after finishing college, so nice to have him back. We had the best time away and I feel like he's had his horizons well and truly broadened by travelling |

DaughterDragon is organising items to go to university with. As we’re going tomorrow that’s a good thing. Although due to when her accommodation will be ready (next Saturday) and the fact she reasonably wants to be there for freshers week, she will be staying with a relation of her step mum's brother's wife for the week and I will be going down and up to Bristol twice in a 6 day period. So she is sorting the things that will come next Saturday. And packing clothes for next week. |

I heard about Bristol not having accommodation ready. Glad that she's managing to get to Freshers anyway. Marigold has started getting stuff ready but she doesn't go until 28th so plenty of time to pack, change her mind, pack again etc |

Thanks Fleecy, All in and left without too much emotion (from me obvs). I have already caved this morning and sent her a voucher for cafe Nero which is a 2 minute walk away! |

Is anyone else's teen completely rigid about what they want but don't know it until they see it? I've just looked through literally 1k bags online but none of them were judged suitable to carry a laptop to college in. Most of them look the same to me.

Triplet Dad
Our three started Year 2 today. One moved out to campus on Saturday but the other two are staying at home for the next academic year so we're avoiding an empty nest for another 8 or 9 months at least. It seems like ages since they finished Year 1 back in May but they've been sensible about working and enjoying themselves so it's gone by pretty quickly for them. All 3 are working 2-3 days a week in term time now too so they'll have some spending money not provided by us, which is good. |

@LindsD Yes! Marigold needs a pair of black heels for formals. It really shouldn't be this hard but she knows EXACTLY what she wants and I'm starting to think the perfect pair just doesn't exist!
