Sorry to hear it was a tough day out UltraDunc. All the best for Blackpool!

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words. I have made it home. Joe1970 sadly I don't need to run a marathon to make those noises when I stand up sometimes, but I did wear my medal and t-shirt all the way home so it was clear why I was moving like a very creaky slow thing :-) The train back to London probably didn't sell any non-runners on the idea of a marathon, there were quite a few of us crashed out in various seats looking like we'd been put through a wringer!

Brilliant run CasB! As a serial marathon underachiever who finally managed a sub 4 at Chester 2022, I can confirm that the happy glow lasts a very long time and is definitely worth the pain. Enjoy basking in the glory 😁

Sorry you didn’t have such a good day UltraDunc. Hopefully next week will go better
