A marathon in quite some heat and humidity dibble, I guess, even if it started early.
I would have had so much trouble in that heat :)

Great effort, Dibble! Will be interested to hear details! What led you to Delhi rather than Wokingham? :)

As for Wokingham, turns out I did have a (sub) 1:35 half in me :) Perfect conditions and a flat course = 1:34:20 which is a PB by over 4 minutes, and gives me a big heap of confidence for my 'main' race which is Brighton marathon. Happy days!

Congratulations Joe! Great run, bodes very well for Brighton.

I had a decent run at Wokingham - went out a bit quicker than my intended 9m/m MP, but felt good so stayed with it. Tested fuelling better, which worked well, and managed to speed up a little for the final miles for 1:51.32, still feeling like I could keep going at the end, so I'm happy with that as marathon prep. It was a nice course despite the short-notice changes for flooding, though I did find myself getting a bit bored in the later miles, especially on the long straight drags over motorway bridges - that says more about me than the race though!

If you have the mental strength to get a bit bored, you probably have more to give :) well raced CasB

Congratulations on the PB, Joe. I hope your training for Brighton keeps going well, so far, you've done everything right, it seems.

It sounds like a great marathon training session, CasB. If you gain mental strength from enduring a boring half, that's a win.
