Cheers didnt run as well as I wanted though came 7th / 8th had lane 8 lol
I have just gone into under 17s this year which is going to be challenging but will definitely bring my times along. 25 days till my county champs running 400 & 800 plus defending my triple jump title lol.
I suppose that will be main aim this season because I am better on the track. Made xc final couple of years ago but packed it in for a while. Come ack to road running and want to knock 33mins for 5m and have a crack at my first 10ks.
Good luck in yours! your junior man then right?

Nice running there well done I train with a few under 17s at my club...they are quick!
No I never was a junior, I started running when I was 19 and I'm 24 now.
Triple jump! haha.. If I were you I would just focus on track and 800m/400m this season because road races and track don't mix (the training is different) and you would be better off focussing on just one thing and getting good at that. I'm doing that this year and it makes training much simplier...everyting is aimed at 800m.
When the track season is over, go back into road and you will knock off big chunks on your 5k and 5 mile times and that will prepare you for the XC season.
Simples!

Haha but it doesn't effect you so much in road races...have you ever tired running a fast mile in December?! I have and it's not nice!
Fair enough, maybe you should be a tripple jumper!

I have the tendency to be lazy in the winter lol.
So whats the best tracks you have run on?
Bath is a nice one but best for aesthetics and bounce has to go to salisbury!

Had a suprisingly tough (10 x 400@69sec) with 75 to 90 second walk/jog recovery. On about #4 I was abit concerned with my feeling of tiredness but HR stayed on track so I pressed on to the end. Course was on road with slight incline. 5km race coming up next Sunday.

Ran a 2.51.58 marathon yesterday, 4 weeks and no long runs since LA and cramps came later and I felt much better.
