Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh I see, good luck I'm pretty sure you should be able to run 1.18.30 easily enough.

I always dread them and they always hurt but at the same time I enjoy them, I like running fast and it always feels good after the session. Did you used to enjoy the hard sessions?

I used to love them but i hate them adm. So the shortest reps ive been doing is 800's

Yea i know, but Half Marathon is my aim so the track races are for fun really. Im going to try add one hard track session per week and see how I go. the 2.12 split last night felt comfortable so Id be happy with a 2.03

Hi Alex, of course you can! There is no reason why this shouldn't be one of your targets in the future. My first ever 800m was 2.16 and last season (after missing half the season) I ran 2.07 on a training night. So keep going at it and you will get there :)

Cheers, thats good going!

I have only recently started running road races again after a break but still have targets for track. Made south west final last year in the 400 doing 58 seconds and am going to do some 800s this year. First race is county champs early next month!

Oh please can I have a link to that group cant seem to find it *dur*

So whats your main focus? Well done on making the final...that must have been a nice feeling. So what age group are you in?

I'm doing the country champs next month, mine will be Avon champs and I'm doing the 800m.
