(Answering my own question, I can see Uyuni's profile does the same, missing out his faster 17:45 parkrun time in favour of a slower track time)

Yep, done that once I spotted it was the same with Uyuni. I knew there was a good reason I shouldn't have done that track race

Well spotted, although in my case it is only 7 seconds, and still begins with a "17" so I'm not that fussed
It however also wipes away the progression as I've been doing 5Ks and 10Ks for years, which were getting pleasingly faster every year, but only done a few on the track recently, and now it only shows the track times
I guess the answer lark is to get out there and find a slightly downhill track to match your Mid-Cheshire time on

Or maybe not run a track 5k the day after an ultra
A downhill track would be nice - just for the last km though, you understand!

larkim - I know this doesn't answer your question, but if you go to the "home page" of your own profile (or Uyuni's profile for that matter), where the PBs are listed across the top of the page, 5000m and 5k PBs are listed independently. So there is some distinction within Fetch's databases, just not on the "Race Times" tab.

Bounce! Still a target for me, 18 seconds above it this year...

I forgot about this thread.
I went through 2018 without troubling the 19 minute barrier and also the early part of 2019. However I have broken through in 3 of my last 4 attempts including a PB equalling run last weekend.
Thought it worth sharing my experience as this improvement came largely on the back of my marathon training, but the 2 quicker runs followed a few weeks post marathon where I did a bunch of 10-12 x 400m intervals and this seemed to be the session that helped me.
Good luck in your sub 19 quest

same for me Baz - I'd only run sub 19 once prior to my spring marathon build up and that was 18:59. Straight after the marathon I hit 18:14.

GOing back a bit, but my 18:14 came off the back of ultra training only. And I've not got too near that since!
