Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Would have liked all splits to start with a 5, but can't complain! Maybe I sandbagged my expectations a little, but under 18:20 was outside any expectations at all.

Club teens did well too, cracking race. 14:07 for the win, 16:21 for 100th place!

Just shows the benefit of a properly quick course and properly quick participants. You won't see any parkruns with 18:14 only bagging you 217th place. Everyone on here would PB without a doubt!

I could have entered the scottish 5k champs next friday which is fast, accurate and in same place as edin parkrun but I am too late, its closed. Never mind, chances are I will get a higher placing when I do parkrun the following morning

That’s a great effort larkim. I’m pleased to have come away with 18:50 and a ~20 sec PB at Harrogate today, despite it being significantly softer than previous runs there (and also using the uncut grass rather than path on one side of the loop). Felt like a solid workout. I’ll keep my eyes open for a fast course and a chance to break 18 mins over the summer.

Nice one Larks. Scraped under 20 at Harrow parkrun this morning. It’s definitely not flat and no one to follow really.

Nice one JDA. 19:31 for me on grass too - looks like I’ll need 3-4 more weeks to get back under 19 and then we’ll see where the plateau settles out!

I thought I’d said brilliant to Larks somewhere else. Anyway, brilliant!

strava WW. I'll take plaudits and kudos from any source ;-)

Just laughing at the 2:53 prediction for a marathon that WAVA now calculates for me!

If the predictor says it then you’ve just got to execute now Larks. Easy.

Oh, actually, given I ran 2:57 off a 36:29 10k perhaps it’s not going to be 100% easy but I’m sure you’ll convert up the distances better than me.

Race off at Snowdonia for us. I think I need to improve a LOT to be competitive!!
