When I've done a Nightshift and working again that night. I set my alarm for 5:30. Usually it's optimistic and am lucky to do 6 hours

I did wake a couple times but went back to sleep quickly managed to sleep till 5. So over 8 hours. I could easily go back but best not

I've not long been awake - crashed exhausted on the sofa before 9, woke at midnight and unable to sleep again gave in and took a tablet.

A whole night of anxiety dreams and waking up in a panic, must have happened 4-5 times. Feel like I've had no rest even though I know I slept because of the dreams...

My bladder woke me up about 00:30 and thereafter I was awake until about 3am. Very annoying and very tired today as a result.

You’ve probably looked at what you’re drinking, Baz, but I found cutting out anything but water after 2-3pm and having a last drink (water) around 8pm really stopped any bladder shenanigans. Not that it’s helped my sleeping generally but it’s taken that out of the equation.

I don’t drink caffeine in the afternoons or evenings but I did have some wine and I know that doesn’t help. However the bladder wakening me up happens regardless and think it’s just an ageing male thing.

Ah ok. I was shocked to discover that even non caffeine drinks (squash, red bush tea, herbal tea) caused me to be woken by bladder.....discovered by accident when we were in Lanza and I’d forgotten to take any tea bags. Spent the week just on water and no bladder wake ups. But I’m an aging female not an aging male....

I do tend to drink sparking water with some squash in it of an evening. Maybe should try just water and see what happens.
