I have been using my sleepy spray and balm for a week now and although I still waken twice to have a pee I do feel the sleep I do get is a much deeper sleep and a lot less restless. Often the first time I waken it only a hour or sort since I went to bed but feel I have been asleep for hours. I just need to address the bladder so will give the water a trial.

Awake at 2.30 and couldn't drift off again for at least a couple of hours. Grim.

sk- I hate those nights the worst! I slept all night last night unaided by zopiclone for the first time in a while. Over the weekend I had a similar night to sk and a night when I woke at 2.45am and didn’t go back to sleep. :-0

I resorted to Nytol for a couple of nights after a whole week of just 2 or three hours sleep. Managed 6 or 7 hours without it for the last two nights, so hoping that the cycle is broken - until I find something else to bring out the anxiety dreams.

I understand why. It does give me a rest if I haven’t slept well for a week or so. I tend to take it for 2 nights then stop.

Morning, slept very deeply last night and feel terrible this morning.

The last few nights caught up with me, we've had a dog howling and wanting to go out to the toilet between 2-4 am for the last 4 nights out of 5, I wouldn't mind but it takes me about two hours to get back to sleep. Hopefully she's better now.

I'm the same as sallykate. I have a packet of zopiclone as prescribed by my doctor. The trouble is, she put the frighteners on me by telling me they were highly addictive & that she would never prescribe me any more. I think she said I'd also be drowsy the following day. Nothing new there then.

I haven't taken one yet, but my tinnitus is definitely getting louder, so I think I may have to succumb soon.
