Ian - does sound like you've picked up a bug.

Re preparation races for Comrades, unfortunately the most suitable are around June which is no good. You'll just have to find what you can, 6 hour races will give you that time on your feet and fuelling practice for longer races.

5+ miles this morning. Absolutely perfect running weather, 10 degrees, no wind, sunny. Had a good run and calf was OK but I will probably skip my calf exercises in the gym this week.

5 miles for me here too. A lovely route on cycle paths, and around a lake.

We’re driving down to Luxembourg today for a couple of nights. It’ll be a new country badge on here for me, if I run there, which I’m planning to tomorrow.

Just popping in to say that I have the original thread as a Word doc - it's ~112MB I think, but I'm happy to send it to anyone that's interested. Send me a message here if you want a copy: fetcheveryone.com/feedback-contact.php

Thanks Fetch, very kind offer.

I have decided I don't want a copy. Maybe some other Shadies might though.

I don't remember sounding off in rant mode about FE. Not impossible though as I have probably had a rant about everything else. 😉

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
