and I've done similar on the A1, heading to mum's a couple of weeks ago, I must have been wishing I was going further north and forgot to turn off at Peterborough.

I've turned up to work twice in slippers (with pompoms) in the days when I didn't work from home, and once in odd shoes

I’ve nearly driven off to work in my slippers but always realised in time. My saving grace if one day I don’t remember, I always change into boots when I arrive at work.

I always do a double take when I see women walking around in those furry slip-ons, I always think they've gone out in their slippers. (I used to wear slippers lie that many moons ago)

Turning up to work in slippers is now normal behaviour...
I completely forgot to update my online grocery order this morning, so what I collect from the shop in the order tomorrow will be what I bunged in the basket to reserve the slot. We will be eating mostly fresh soup for the next week...

[I always laugh at people who wear sheepskin boot things as outdoor footwear...in my mind they will *ALWAYS* be slippers...this has the added advantage, that if I did go out in my slippers, it's unlikely anyone would bat an eyelid as they're sheepskin boots.]
