Thanks, G - I can use that wording to quell the beating hearts of my "Team" members. Anyway, August is ages away, who's to say what strength comes from 6 months training running up fire escape stairs?

Son of a Pronator Man
Any dates that are popular with Fetchies for the Speed of Light? being shy and retiring, I don't want to go on my own.

I think I put myself down for the last night, just in the off chance I can run off with the suit and fulfill my 'tron' bedroom fantasies. ahem anyway an invite is extended to anyone in Bathgate and sorrounding districts; a few of us are going for a tough hilly 10miler tomorrow morning. All fetchies welcome. See the West Lothian thread. Thanks

The Rentboy
Has anyone been along the canal path at Ratho Bridge recently. It looks like from the bridge and heading west along the path it has been Tar McAdamed. No idea how far it stretches cos i only saw it from my office window ;)

Yip Rents - Tarmac stops at Clifton Hall (just past climbing centre) so only 1.5 miles. But that does mean it's tarmac all the way from town, except Suntrap to Ratho (2 miles) to past there. Pretty soggy when wet from there to Broxburn, in places. Also Philpstoun and other places out to Linlithgow. Not too wet at the mo tho (we've been soooo lucky with weather here in East Central Scotland) :-)G

Are Speed of Light still looking for people? I thought it was full? Hmm...

Shame it's now almost all tarmac on the Canal between town and Ratho, I loved that untarmaced bit.

Just had a look: some nights still available (but not my birthday). I didn't know they charged £10 though!

STOOSH, have a look here: speedoflight2012.org.uk

It's an event that's being out on for the Edinburgh Festival 2012. It takes place at night on Arthur's Seat and involves runners weraing special lightsuits running a choreography. Quite a few Fetchies took part when the organisers trialled it last summer to see what they could do (I was going to, but then couldn't make it because of work, unfortunately.).
