D33? I wonder if that's the one Sophster was talking about at the Fetch Christmas curry night when I had necked two large glasses of wine and would have agreed to any run. I remember fancying it then couldn't remember the name of it the next morning when I woke up.

My God No, but I was thinking of going up with my friend and sharing the expenses and taking photographs. I've never been up that way before I thought it might be fun. As it turns out I'm working. I couldn't run 33 miles all in one go anyway it would take me quite a long time.

You don't have to run it all in one go :-) it's more like a few half-marathons with lots of food and drink breaks inbetween... :-)

George is happy for people to do 1/2 or leave a bike at the 1/2 way point and your'll still be allowed cake at the end.

Sounds like a lovely event. I have club friends who have done it, so could be one for next year. I was a bit annoyed to realise I was working and couldn't go up with my friend, as I said I've never been up that way before.

Jacs, I think it was. :-)

Looks like there's lots and lots of Fetchies doing D33 this year (some as their first ultra) - it'll be fab. :-) Had I known that it would be ok to only do half of it like Mike says, I might have been tempted, too, since 13 is the furthest I've gone since August. Oh well, next time.

Hehe, Jacs - what I meant is I could do *half* of it next time. :-) But since you've agreed to doing it at the Christmas Social, I think you'll have to do the full one. ;-) Which marathon is it you're doing?
