Aye just about saw you at cakefest at end Frasefish then lost you. Cheers big cuz I was supposed to be jogging a 65 min run to work a MP run for myself with a top run by Smout. She seems to have gone dull of hearing and our pace ended up little sharper than my intended "jog" How is knee looking now?? |

Okay then Glencoe Marathon in October, have the Scottish Fetchies any thoughts on this. I keep looking at it but not sure if I should.

Glencoe Marathon? Googled it - wildfoxevents.com Red Squirrel campsite in Glencoe, up the glen, Devils's Staircase, Kinlochleven, Lairig Mor, Lundavra, stops a bit before the Braveheart carpark near Fort William. Cracking route. £45 (plus at least £100 fund-raising for "inspirational new youth development initiative called Project Northern Lights"). Only 100 places. Not sure that I've ever seen quite so many superlatives in one website. "brave, daring, conquer, ancient, super, mighty..." Tempted, but would have to see what the fundraising is about (and if fancy-dress is de rigeur) |

Really liked the idea of the Glencoe Marathon but raising £100 plus the £45 entry fee isn't an option for me

Must admit that I don't really like having to raise sponsorship on top of entry fee. Not that I've got anything against sponsorship per se, but there is a limit on how many times you can ask more or less the same people. I kind of fancied a rugged event in Scotland for a change, one that was easy to get to and that would challenge me.

Then you'll be looking for the D33 susie2shoes! It's only a week away, and is almost a marathon really.

That's a bit soon, I was thinking anything after September. Strangely I think there's a place going with a bed attached, one of the girls from club has had to pull out. I've heard good things about it so perhaps next year. |
