Got out for a 4ml walk this morning - pace was 16:33, so slowly getting back to my pace from earlier in the year and (touch wood), feet seem to be okay ..

Thats good news that you are beginning to regain your earlier walking pace WtnMel, and that your feet appeared to be ok during this mornings 4 miles walk.

We did the Bartley Park parkrun this morning and it was on a new course, course E. It was still 4 hilly laps, finishing at the top of a hill.

Afternoon all, catching up again.

WtnMel good to hear you're not getting any ill effects from your walking now, it seems those new shoes were a wise investment. Are you still taking the gout medication btw?

0061 A week off running? That must have felt strange for you :-)

HS A lovely parkrun photo, were you running one today? I believe a lot of the country is covered in fog (for once we aren't) and wondered if it would affect your part of the world. It must be frustrating to have to wait so long to hear about your hospital appointment, everything seems to take a long time these days, but on the plus side they mustn't be too worried about you or you would have been bumped up the queue.

My new Garmin is working well (touch wood) I had a 6 mile run on Thursday and there was no loss of GPS etc. Today I did Chopwell Woods parkrun with youngest son (but not Steve who is still full of cold, so we missed our Boxing Day run). The woods looked lovely with the sun shining through the lower branches and glittering off patches of frost. Nearly had a tumble on a downhill section when a dog walker approached with her lively dog who was off the lead. I was just about to pass the runner in front when the dog charged at her and she had to pull up quickly, as did I, and the lady just behind me. Lucky we all reacted so quickly.

Aquarius, yes, yet again!

Thanks, I'm glad that you liked the photo.

Thankfully, we have been fog free in our neck of the woods.

I'm hoping that the powers that be, don't consider my case to be urgent, otherwise, as you said, they would have bumped me up the queue.

I'm glad that your new Garmin was working well during Thursdays 6 miles run.

Well done for this mornings Chopwell Woods parkrun with your youngest son. I'm sorry to hear that Steve is still full of cold, and that you had to miss your Boxing Day run.

It seems that you had a lucky escape from the charging dog off the lead. Parkrunners must have their dogs on short leads, but non participants don't have to. They should though, put them on their leads when they see lots of runners. It's dogs natural instincts to chase runners etc.

0061 What a great photo. Congratulations on reaching 500! (I didn't realise you could get your milestone t-shirt before the actual event).

That's an amazing photo 00. Congratulations for your 500th parkrun.

It was really cold this morning, and my hands were freezing, despite my wearing gloves. I'll wear a thicker pair tomorrow. I ran a solo 3.94 miles on roads.

Aquarius the new kit seller is happy to take your money! I was surprised too. My last T was 250 and back then you could only order once Parkrun validated your achievement.
A nice run hillstrider, a bit milder here but strong winds and rain on the way.
