Yes that's the one Wtnmel. Most of it is unfurnished but still worth a visit. Good news on the foot. Great pictures hillstrider great seeing those wild horses. Yes Aquarius windy nook was great, very rugged but a lovely nature reserve. I got 50 secs off the v60 record. It's very flattering, as it a small parkrun and the target wasn't too challenging.
Isn't the weather fantastic, certainly here in the North. Hope it continues.

OO61 - thanks, glad my memory isn't failing me (just yet!) Well done re knocking 50 secs off the V60 record, even if it wasn't that challenging. Now - the question is, can you beat the new V60 record?

WtnMel, I'll try to stop the ladies from falling over!
I'm glad to hear that your foot is feeling better.
I see that you are probably going to give the choir a miss until the spring term.
0061,I'm glad that you liked the photos. I only carry my phone when I am running solo, so don't take many.
Congratulations for taking 50 seconds off the V60 parkrun record.
Just the usual Tuesday Farmers Walk this morning.

Gently does it .. I walked into the village yesterday (not far at all!) and the foot seemed fine. I was wearing my new 'rocker' trainers and have actually been wearing them around the house as the cushioning means my feet have been cosseted. I will be walking into the village again shortly to catch the bus into town. I need to pay a cheque into the bank and visit Boots, Ryman and WHS which are all in close proximity, then I'll head home.

WtnMel, It's good to hear that your foot seemed ok during yesterday's walk into the village.
This morning was 6.65 miles in the forest with Sarah F, Julie and Mike. This included 6 x 800 metre hilly circuits round Horestone Hill, with recoveries after each circuit, run out and back. There were quite a few white cows and black cows, some with horns, looking menacing, so we were very wary 🦬

I found this picture of a pig at one of our parkruns a few years ago.

I had a running rest day yesterday, and drove into the village for a haircut 👴
This morning was the usual Friday Farmers Walk.

Fingers crossed, the left foot 'seems' okay after a couple of days of walking around a bit. I wore the new rocker trainers yesterday while visiting my Mum, but changed into some 'old' trainers while driving. With the extra cushioning these new trainers have, there didn't seem to be enough 'feel' while driving and it didn't feel safe to use them. So I was changing over from one pair to the other a few times.
I swam 40 lengths at the Holiday Inn pool yesterday evening - it's a 15m pool, so that equated to 24 lengths of a 25m pool. One minor problem after the swim - I opened the locker (they use a 4-digit code) to get my towel, locked it again, had my shower, but then couldn't open the locker to get dressed. Another guy was just leaving and was dressed so he went outside to get a member of staff to use a 'magic' key to unlock the locker. The lady who came to help walked in staring at the floor - the coast was clear, but she was obviously a bit worried what she was going to see!

Great story Wtnmel. I once did the same it my local pool and had to walk out to reception in my trunks- very embarrassing. I've had 2 swims this week after a long rest over the school holidays when the pool is busy.

WtnMel Had to smile at your story at the pool, I don't swim but do occasionally use the showers at the pool if I'm going for a run at the coast, leaving my clothes etc in a locker. I'm always a bit nervous about either losing the key or doing what you did. Sounds hopeful about the left foot, do you feel ready to get back to your longer walks yet?
0061 I suppose once you've had to go to the reception desk in your trunks you are unlikely to make the same mistake again (hopefully). Did you parkrun this week?
HS That's a very tame looking pig. What is your 1000 circles target about, is it a Fetch challenge?
We did the Newcastle parkrun today, almost 600 runners again so a very slow congested start, but once we were about half a mile in it thinned out and it was possible to start running "properly" instead of weaving about at a jogging pace. It's a pretty flat course but can be frustrating at the start. Next weekend is the start of the cross country season, and it kicks off with my least favourite course which I usually miss out, but I'm going to try to do all of them this year. It's been cancelled a couple of times in the past due to being waterlogged so this year it's been moved to the start of the season in the hopes the ground will be drier. I just hope it won't be as horrible as I remember.
